Inside and Out

The cottage began as a Sears And Roebuck pre-fab kit assembled on the site in 1953.  The fireplace was built by the original owner, and it is made entirely of stone from the site.

We renovated the cottage in 2002 and 2003.  The cabin retains its original charm with the addition of some modern amenities.

The cabin has a massive stone fireplace in the living room (firewood and kindling provided), AM/FM tuner, 5 CD Changer, DVD player, 22" flat screen TV, basic cable and wireless Internet access.

There are lots of board games, an excellent library, and more Legos than you can shake a stick at!

The floors throughout the cabin are oak.  The boards were recovered from a 150 year old barn that was torn down by its owner.

Cook your meals in a brand new, fully equipped, kitchen.  There is a  conventional electric stove, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, full size refrigerator, cooking utensils, pots and pans, flatware, dishes, and cups.  A vintage, hand crank, coffee grinder is just the thing to wake everyone up if you are the first in the kitchen.

There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed.

The low ceilinged loft has a double bed and a single bed.

Bed linens, blankets, and beach and bath towels provided.

We just added a full size washer and clothes dryer.

The are plenty of large windows and all have screens.

The cabin is fully insulated for winter use and has electric baseboard heat.

Please note: There is no dishwasher.
